The Million Things That Never Happened

Billy Bragg returns with his tenth studio album, The Million Things That Never Happened, an intimate blend of folk, Americana, and rock that examines resilience and empathy in a post-pandemic world. Produced by Romeo Stodart and Dave Izumi at Echo Zoo Studio in Eastbourne, the 12-track set features Bragg’s sharp songwriting and a warm, Mellotron-driven texture. The closing track, Ten Mysterious Photos That Can’t Be Explained, was co-written with Bragg’s son Jack Valero, adding a personal touch to the album. The Million Things That Never Happened was released in 2021 on Cooking Vinyl.
