MISFITS ‘STATIC AGE’ LP

LABEL:Caroline
VINYL RELEASE DATE:7/15/1997
ORIGINAL RELEASE DATE: 1997
VARIANT: Black Vinyl LP

Released piecemeal across a handful of early singles, but finally released in its full, unbroken form in 1996, Static Age is the incredible debut album from New Jersey horror-punks Misfits. Recorded in 1978, the 17-song Static Age still stuns with its mix of Fifties pop melodies, sneering punk attitude and gallows-ghoulish lyricism from devilish lead crooner, Glenn Danzig. From the savagely subversive anti-love anthem Last Caress, to the explosive Bullet to the gleeful absurdity of Return of the Fly, Static Aged is stacked with some of Misfits most iconic tracks.
