Julius Brockington- Prayer Lamp (Mod)

A lost cornerstone of early eighties gospel-soul, Prayer Lamp merges gospel conviction with concrete elements of contemporary soul, funk and disco to create a sound rooted in the church but built for a new musical moment. Continuing Cheri Records’ resurgence in the digital era this record is a true forgotten gem and available for the first time on CD in over four decades.
